Below are complaint narratives filed by owners of the 2020 Jeep Wrangler with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. 1 involved fires. 1 reported injuries or fatalities.
Steering gear box. Very sloppy while driving . not safe
Instrument Panel Cluster Failure. Black screen. Can’t see MPH, Gas, mileage or any engine functionality. Consistent with NHTSA safety recall. My VIN is not in the recall despite being a 2020 Jeep Wrangler that is listed in the safety recall. Stellantis won’t cover repair and Jeep dealer in Marshfield won’t cover. Potential 6 month fix with no replacement vehicle offered because part hasn’t been i...
The instrument panel has suddenly stopped working. Speedometer, Odometer, fuel, nothing displays. There is an active recall for this very issue 24V652000. However, my VIN is reportedly not included and the dealership says its not covered.
Instrument cluster has gone blank. Unable to see digital speedometer, fuel level, engine temperature, current gear, 4WD status, and other items. Dealership said it was not part of recall 24V652000, they stated the only outstanding recall for this vehicle was 25V741000. Vehicle is scheduled to go in for that recall and further diagnosis of the instrument cluster issue.
The instrument cluster no longer displays any information, it is blank. My safety is at risk as I can not see how much gas I have, mileage, oil pressure or any other warnings that are used by the display. Prior to going completely blank intermittently it would show a greenish color. Other Jeep Wranglers have had this problem, but my VIN was not part of the recall.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the instrument panel became inoperable. The contact was unable to view the odometer, fuel level, or speedometer. The warning lights were inoperable. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); as a possible cause for the failure, however the VIN was not included in the recal...
The 3.5" screen on my jeep went out. Which prevented me from seeing speed, mileage and gas. They have recalled other jeeps from 2018-2024 but mine is not included because it has been in service for more then 24 months. We bought the jeep in 2023 with 20 some thousand miles on it. Why is there a time limit on a faulty part? Not everyone drives their cars 30,000+ a year, so problems with parts won't...
The instrument cluster has completely failed presenting a dangerous situation for driving. There are no warning lights, no speed indicator, no signal indicator, etc, etc. A simple Google search will show that this is a very widespread and well known issue with this vehicle, and a safety recall notice should be issued and the replacement should be covered by the manufacturer. The vehicle was ins...
The instrument cluster is is not working. I am unable to see how much gas is in the vehicle nor am I able to see any critical warnings for the vehicle
Wife’s 2020 Jeep Wrangler’s IPC above the steering wheel went blank. No speed, no fuel gauge, no odometer or warning lights, no turn signal indicators. Chrysler Safety Recall (30B) (NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 24V652000) states there is a problem with these including our year Wrangler, 2020. Dealer said we are out of luck because when they type in our vin number into their database, no safety recalls a...
The attachment for the rear defrost failed. The wiring for the rear defrost was poorly attached (bad glue?) to the back window. With the lack of trunk, jeeps end up with lots of moisture spraying onto the back window and freezing. This poor design causes a hazard by limiting visibility to solely the side mirrors.
The driver and passenger side sunvisors have both failed. The piece that holds the visor in place is apparently plastic and breaks easily, causing the visor to malfunction. This sounds minor, but not in winter when the sun is low on the horizon and blinding to the driver. The first visor I replaced was in 2021 (on a 2020 jeep). You have to replace the entire assembly (not just the part). Both s...

The contact had gone to the Doctor's Office, where blood work was completed. The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the instrument panel displayed a blank screen. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The contact was informed that the repair was not covered under warranty or recall. The contact referenced an unknown recall with ...
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving approximately 50 MPH, the vehicle shuddered and was difficult to maneuver. No warning lights were illuminated. The failure had occurred on several occasions. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the steering damper, inner tie rods, adjuster sleeve, outer tie rods, and the drag lin...
My jeep steering wheel and entire vehicle shake violently at high speeds and after a bump.
The cluster instrument panel stopped working. It is a part that has been recalled. It was taken to the local jeep dealer and they confirmed the issue. Apparently, my jeep has not been added to the recall list yet. I also reported the issue directly to Chrysler back when it first happened.
Shortly after leaving my house I glanced at the digital readout for my speed and noticed that the instrument cluster was blank. I pulled over, stopped my Jeep, then restarted it to see if that would correct it, which it did not. I took it to a reputable auto/electrical garage who at first noticed a master fuse block blown and replaced the fuse block. That didn't correct the instrument cluster howe...
My speedometer/odometer screen went completely black. I have no idea how fast I’m going or how much gas I have. This is a know and very dangerous issue.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the instrument panel was blank. The contact pulled over and restarted the vehicle; however, the failure persisted. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was driven to an independent...
