Bolts connecting the rack and pinion may become loose, causing steering vibrations.

Multiple tires developed bubbles on the sidewall after only 5,000 miles, indicating possible manufacturing defects.

Back-up prevention systems may malfunction, leading to potential rear-over accidents.

The driver’s seat heater malfunctioned and produced excessive heat while activated during normal vehicle operation.

Summary: Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2024 Altima vehicles. The bolts connecting the electronic power steering unit to the steering rack may loosen, resulting in a loss of steering control or steering lock-up.

Consequence: A loss of steering control or steering lock-up can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the steering gear assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 9, 2024. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall is PC997.

The tire got only 20000 miles the first tire got bubble the other 3 tire after 5000 miles got bubble to on the sidewall. The date on the tire is 0324 . The tire look brand new. But the problem with the side wall looks like air got between the layers of the tire.

When I first start the car the engine revs and the tachometer or the RPM reader stays above 2 while reving for over a minute which is too long. Yesterday, halfway through the freeway, I stopped speeding up and the troubleshooting lights turned on at the CVT at Lus from Check Engine, I was able to step aside and the transmission box stopped working and I had to request towing service to the dealership and today they called me to tell me they need to replace the transmission.

Steering becomes tight and “feels to lock up” with no control. Happened 2 times previously, 3rd time resulted in a crash.

The sound of the horn is so low/faint that it can be barely be heard which can ultimately lead to a “major” accident. I implore you to issue a recall in order for the manufacturer to replace the inferior horns.
